No market for Small Mobile Phone Companies in UK

It has been warned by T-Mobile that the UK mobile phone market is not fit for the smaller mobile phone companies who are forcing the authorities to accept its proposal to join Orange; but the managing director of Deutsche Telekom’s UK mobile unit, Richard Moat said that if there wont be any competition then how would people have a choice in buying what they want.

Moat was also of the opinion that the growing pressure on the mobile phone companies in the market is shifting the aggressive scenario and capability of these companies to save money for the future. If there is no change then the small scale companies in which Orange and T-Mobile are also included would not be able to compete with the other big operators.

Deutsche Telekom and France Telecom had planned to join their UK companies T-Mobile and Orange, this merge is considered to be UK’s largest mobile phone provider company with a joint market share of 37% which is practically more than O2.

This joint venture will first have to be accepted by the competition regulators, but in the far front you will see that authorities in UK and Brussels are not too satisfied with this kind of a merger and are considering its impact on consumers.
